So now that I've made six different layouts for LLOM, I think it's about time I settle on one. I understand these hoverovers are something you guys enjoy, so I'll keep doing them. In the next few slices, I'll explain why Anthy is the prominent figure here. This is an Akio layout. Anthy is simply a means to an end. I could remove both his face and his hand and you'd still know he was there. Also, I've been trying for ages to sneak a picture from my NASA folder into a layout. Starry night, holy night...o wait holy has no place here!
See? You don't even have to see the rest of his face to know the expression he has. I love it. Yes, I added little pearly things to Anthy's hair. Shut up, they're cool. A woman's shoulders are the front lines of her mys-fuck, wrong devil. This, my friend, is an arched back. Look at her. And he's not even touching her yet. Menu's over there, dear.
I wish a gorgeous sadistic man like Akio would stop by and come-or wait...is it come and stop by? Damn, I'm confused. Hi Anthy! You seem less blank than usual. Akio's not Indian. He's just a black man that's also a vampire and thus pale for his race. You know, evolution shows women to be just as promiscuous as men. Had I known what an unholy pain in the ass this layout would be to code, I'd have...well..done it anyway.
Look, a chopped hovering gif. You guys just don't know how much I suffer for this stuff. Actually, I wish I was back in the city.
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger...might be a bad choice of music considering what I'm doing. MY ROOM IS A MESS. Well no, but my mind is. I DON'T WANNA GO TO CLASS. Fuck school. I'll like it better when my campus has a phallic tower and hot dean. ....but I'd settle for at least a hot student council official. I don't even have those. I really should be getting dressed for school... ....ok, a song titled 'Weapons of Mass Distortion' is no better... No more hovers! (They don't work in Firefox anyway.)

Hello, there. If you haven't noticed, I'm hot.
» Seiyuu: Kosugi Juurouta
    (...more)
» English Dub: Josh Mosby
    (...more)
» Birthday: 9/15/???? (September 15th), year unknown. His birthday is given in the video game guidebook. (Here's the page.)
»
Age: Unknown, but in the manga, Akio states he's in the school's university, which would suggest he’s in his early to mid twenties. Though he’s considered an older man by the standards of the rest of the cast, it’s unlikely he means to look a day over thirty. Of course, Akio is considerably older than he makes himself out to be. At least twenty years have passed since the Nemuro Hall incident, and his actual age beyond that is really anyone’s guess. If you count Dios, you might say he’s as old as the idea of a prince is.
»
Sun Sign: Virgo (...more)
» Blood Type: A, as seen in the Juju book. (...more)
» Sex: Considerably Male
» Height: 201.5 cm (approx. 6'7). This is an estimate based on comparison to Utena in this height chart. I also made a chart showing how tall the cast is on its knees compared to Akio's full height. No wonder he keeps Touga around.
Name: Akio Ohtori, or Ohtori Akio in traditional Japanese surname first. (I’ve also seen it spelled "Otori" or "Ootori") (...more)
» First Appearance: Episode 13 ("Plotting a Locus"), as the foreboding shadow talking to Dios about the trials Utena has conquered thus far.
»
Introduction: Episode 14 ("Boys of the Black Rose"), as Anthy’s humble sibling, engaged to the incapacitated chairman’s daughter, Kanae Ohtori.
» Jobs: "An educator with a part-time job on the side." Akio’s the Trustee Chairman of the Board (something like a Dean or a Principal, only even more bureaucratic). He's a proxy in place of the actual Chairman, his fiancée's father, who fell ill around when Akio and Anthy met his family. It would seem this position came with his engagement to Kanae, and that the school is a family-operated affair. His other ‘job’ is administering instruction to the student council as the ominously titled ‘Ends of the World’. This instruction centers entirely around the secretive dueling game they play—it’s unlikely Ends of the World has any suggestions for school dance themes. (Judging from the overly aristocratic and decadent mood they affect, one can only assume Touga’s hand in their planning.)
» Residence: The Chairman's wing of Ohtori Academy. That's the big phallus poking out of the middle of the school. He spends much of his time at the top, in a planetarium that’s apparently meant to be his office. You're only shown one other floor, the floor Anthy and Utena live in later in the series. You also see the balcony halfway up the tower used by the Student Council for meetings. Here's a shot of the whole school, with the tower pointed out.
» Pastimes: Akio’s the classic Renaissance man. Blame it on his age, blame it on his position, but he’s a man that knows a lot about a lot and little about everything. He seems particularly interested in mythology and the etymology surrounding it; he studies the stars but talks about their mythological background, not their physical properties. Akio’s at least dabbled in botany (unsurprising considering his sister’s knee deep in it), he’s comfortable on either end of a camera, and could be said to have an interest in automobiles. He’s familiar enough with men’s fashions to sport styles that predate us viewers by almost a century, and most importantly, the man cooks. Really cooks. Food food. Not microwave mac and cheese. Rose hip brandy jam. And cake. Decorated multi-layer cake. Betty Crocker who?
» Likes: Akio is the living embodiment of schadenfreude—he enjoys watching others under mental and emotional stress. It clearly amuses him, and for all that it always ends up in the bedroom, it likely turns him on. Simpler pursuits such as those mentioned in his pastimes may or may not be genuine interests of his, so I’ll skip on them here. Psychological torture and sex, however, are two things he enjoys quite a bit.
» Dislikes: Akio isn’t particularly fond of his darling sister, and the feeling’s mutual. You could call it a love-hate relationship, but there’s not much love there. He’s also somewhat afraid of death and impalement on countless swords of hate, and is quite preoccupied with the avoidance of both.
